Mid-table Ipswich travel to playoff-seeking Bristol in the 38th round of
the Championship this Saturday.

Bristol City may well end up mid-table too if they don’t get out of
their funk. Two wins in 16 games is hardly convincing, and after last
round’s dreary 0-0 draw against a down and out Burton side, manager Lee
Johnson said: “it was definitely not a classic”, admitting “there were a

Ipswich lost six matches in a row against teams in the top ten of the
league before stopping the trend against Preston with a solid 1-0 away
win. Can they build on that against a Bristol City side struggling to
find their stride?

Despite Bristol City’s rough streak, ‘The Tractor Boys’ of Ipswich will
face a team they have trouble beating here, as they have lost four of
their last clashes against the Robins, with the other two resulting in
one draw and one win.

Players to watch: With 17 goals, City’s midfielder Bobby Reid is the top
scorer in the league at the moment. With five goals in as many games,

simply stopped scoring for 14 games straight before drilling two against
Sheffield Wednesday a fortnight ago. Can he build on that here?

Stat attack: All three of Ipswich’s last Championship defeats have come
at home. Their away form is impeccable, however, with three wins, two
draws and zero defeats from their last five games.

After a stellar start to the season, City’s form has taken a turn for
the worse since the start of the New Year. Eleven points in 13 matches
place them in the bottom half of the league when only games in 2018 are

Seven of the last ten head to head games have ended over 2.5 goals.
